The Groat

The Old Khaki logo, which adorns all Old Khaki merchandise in some shape and form, is of simple origin.

We saw it. We liked it. We chose it.

It didn’t appear to someone in a dream. No one owns a goat farm. No one has a goat fetish (as far as we know). Only one person likes goat’s cheese, but that’s a different matter entirely.

There was an initial argument over whether to call the logo a “ram” or a “goat.” After much arm-wrestling and pulling of hair we settled on “The Groat,” a compromise between the two. The name stuck, although he occasionally gets referred to as the “Bokkie,” which he pretends not to notice.
